JOB REQUIREMENTS: Medical Assistant, Radiation Oncology - 29762 DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Work Schedule: This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE day shift position. Monday Friday between the hours of 8:00AM 4:30PM, now weekends required. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. You may be eligible for up to a \$3,000 sign-on bonus (pro-rated based on FTE). We are currently seeking a Medical Assistant (MA, CMA, RMA, CCMA, LPN) to: * Join our Radiation Oncologists who provide a full range of treatments, including External Beam Radiation Therapy, Brachytherapy and other supportive therapies. * Provide quality care in a compassionate and patient-family centered environment. * Prepare patients for examination and assist with treatments and office procedures. * Promote healthy life styles, wellness and education. Equal Opportunity Employer-minorities/females/veterans/individuals with disabilities/sexual orientation/gender identity ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Minimum - High School Diploma or equivalent and ONE of the following: * Completion of an accredited medical assistant program OR * Licensure as an LPN OR * Completion of the UWH Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program OR * Attainment of the CCMA certification as a UWH employee OR * Acceptance into the UWH MA Apprenticeship Program Accelerated OR * One year of recent Medical Assistant experience and CMA, RMA or CCMA Certification Work Experience: Preferred One (1) year of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN Licenses and Certifications: Minimum * Certified as CMA, RMA, or CCMA or eligible for certification.
