JOB REQUIREMENTS: Medical Assistant, Imaging - 25970 DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Work Schedule : This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE day/evening shift. Monday - Friday between the hours of 7:00am - 5:30pm, no weekends required. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. Pay : UW Health offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. Work experience that is relevant to the position will be taken into consideration when determining the starting base pay. External hires may be eligible for up to a \$3,000 sign-on bonus (pro-rated based on FTE). We are seeking a Medical Assistant (MA, CMA, RMA, CCMA, LPN) to: * Work with radiologists, nurse practitioners, nurses and program coordinators in 12 Radiology modalities including Interventional Radiology, Neurointerventional Radiology, Neuroendovascular Radiology, Musculoskeletal (MSK), Ablation, CT, CT Biopsy, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, Pediatrics (ages 14+), MRI, and Virtual Colonoscopy. * Prepare patients for procedures, assist RNs with Phase II recovery and discharge, make pre-op phone calls and provide patient instruction for procedures. * Promote healthy lifestyles, wellness, and education. Equal Opportunity Employer-minorities/females/veterans/individuals with disabilities/sexual orientation/gender identity ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Education : Minimum - High School Diploma or equivalent and ONE of the following: * Completion of an accredited medical assistant program OR * Licensure as an LPN OR * Completion of the UWH Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program OR * Attainment of the CCMA certification as a UWH employee OR * Acceptance into the UWH MA Apprenticeship Program - Accelerated OR * One year of recent Medical Assistant experience and CMA, RMA or CCMA Certification Work Experience : Preferred - One (1) year of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN Licenses and Certifications : Minimum - * Certified as CMA, RMA, or CCMA or eligible for certification.
