JOB REQUIREMENTS: Health Unit Coordinator - Orthopedics B6/4 - 31202 DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Work Schedule : 90% FTE, 36 Hours per week. Combination of 4, 8, or 12 hours shifts scheduled from 7:00 am - 11:00 pm. Every third weekend and holidays are required. Hours may vary based on the needs of the clinic. We are seeking a Health Unit Coordinator to: * Utilize excellent communication and organizational skills to support patient care. * Collaborate with the clinical team to coordinate all aspects of patient care including patient admissions, transfers, and discharges. * Use high level of attention to detail to maintain accurate electronic health records and perform other duties of a clerical nature. * Maintain control and order under stressful conditions and periods of high unit activity, while utilizing effective and respectful communication with patients, families, and the health care team.
