Responsibilities

Our pulmonary/critical care team is currently interviewing for part-time night coverage nocturnist inpatient coverage for one of our hospitals in Lynwood, CA. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone looking to supplement their current income.

This is an independent contractor position, non-benefited position.

Qualification musts:

  • Must be either ACNP-BC or AGANCP-BC

  • DEA license or pending

  • Experience preferred but willing to train the right candidate.

  • Duties include:

  • 12 hour coverage in the ICU from 7pm to 7am. Nights are flexible. Minimum of 4 nights per month.

  • Responsible for ICU patient follow-ups, responding to codes, and admitting new patients from the floors and the ER.

  • Performing emergency procedures. Willing to train the right candidate.

  • Appropriate billing and documentation for the above.

Qualifications

Master's degree Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing (MSN)

  • Must be able to intubate patients (or willing to perform this function once trained) and manage critical situations and codes

  • Registered Nurse - RN (CA Board of Registered Nursing)

  • Nurse Practitioner - NP (CA Board of Registered Nursing) ACNP only

  • Nurse Practitioner Furnisher (CA DCA) Current license to furnish medications in the State of California

  • DEA Certificate Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Certificate issued by the U.S

  • ◦ If work in Hospital/Acute Care Setting must have Certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN) as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) upon hire

    St. Francis Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $900-1,000 Daily Rate. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure
