Universal Health Services THERAPIST - Full Time in LOS ANGELES, California

In addition to traditional recovery services, The Canyon provides a supportive environment where patients can drop in to work on life skills and seek support wherever they are in their recovery. Our unique treatment approach engages the whole person in the healing process and encourages loved ones to be involved in treatment in order to build a solid foundation for lasting recovery.

The Canyon at Santa Monica is currently seeking a Full Time Primary Therapist, to oversee all aspects of patient care and therapy at our outpatient facility. The Primary Therapist will have the distinct privilege of working in a setting where they can truly spend quality time with their patients and work closely with the treatment staff. Patient-centered care is not only what we do; it is at the core of who we are.

Qualifications

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conducts individual and group therapy sessions with clients

  • Responsible for updating and collaborating with referents

  • Participates in weekly staff meetings regarding each client and gives recommendations

  • Performs all other duties as required or assigned

Education and Experience

  • Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or related field required

  • Licensure or licensure eligible required

  • Minimum 3 years experience in mental health or substance abuse field required
