What you will be doing in this role:

The Patient Liaison is responsible for providing efficient, personalized high-level concierge services to patients. This individual serves as a designated patient navigator ensuring timely access to clinical services and providing information and resources to patients to optimize their experience. The Patient Liaison researches and stays current on Cedars-Sinai specialty services, assists with medical record requests, pre-admission paperwork, appointment/test/procedure scheduling and follow-up, and demonstrates cultural sensitivity. Your duties will include:

  • Serving as liaison between Cedars-Sinai specialty programs and patients.

  • Providing patients with details on their care plans, ensuring timely scheduling of clinical appointments and arranging for all non-patient care services that support the delivery of high-quality, patient-centric care.

  • Accompanying patients to appointments and visiting patients while in the hospital. Aiding in navigating CSMC systems and processes

  • Ensuring that all non-clinical needs (e.g., language, diet, religion, cultural tourism/accommodations) are being arranged.

  • Managing the post-discharge process for patients, including providing packaged medical reports, physician instructions and discharge prescriptions.

  • Responsible to adhere to all patient services protocols and ensure charting is completed in appropriate applications.

In this role you will need to demonstrate full command of a foreign language to provide interpretation services for patients. You may also be required to translate medical records for second opinion/consultations.

You will be asked to interface with other Cedars-Sinai departments and physician offices, as well as external partners (e.g., embassies, insurance companies, referral agencies, consultants, and third-party vendors) to support the delivery of high-quality patient care.

This is a limited term, benefitted role, which is anticipated to last through approximately October 1, 2024

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED required. Associate degree/College Diploma in Hospitality or a related major preferred

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience functioning in a concierge/liaison role or equivalent role required.

  • Passing the Cedars Sinai Medical Interpreter Exam.

  • Must be fluent in Arabic.
