VCA Animal Specialty Group is a 24 hour emergency and specialty hospital in Los Angeles, approximately 10 minutes from Downtown, LA!

* Compensation dependent on experience, licensing, and schedule.

Compensation : $ 24 - $ 32 / hr

Job Type: Full-time, 10 hours shifts 4 days per week

Schedule: Swing and overnight available.

Additional Incentive: Generous fees for afterhour emergency surgeries for qualified licensed technicians.

Allowance: $750/year for CE and license reimbursement

Referral program: $1000 for RVTs & VTS *Rates may vary. Ask hiring manager for details.

Strong skills and knowledge of the following:

• IVC placement

• Venipuncture and U/S guided cystos

• Radiographs (spinal, thorax, abdomen, extremities, etc.)

• Anesthesia induction, monitoring and recovery for stable and critical patients

• Use of Ventilators

• Triage and Patient treatments

• Calculating and preparing medications for administration (including boluses, CRIs, and blood transfusions)

• Preparation and assisting for minor and major surgeries

• Process in-house and outside labs

• Restrain for exams and diagnostics

• Client communication for histories, estimates, discharges.
