Job Overview:

RWJ Barnabas Health is currently looking to add a Part-Time Educator within our one of our Laboratory locations. This position will be focused on Pathology education at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, NJ.

Qualifications:

Required:

• A Baccalaureate degree in Medical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology is preferred. Applicants with other science-related degrees from an accredited institution will be considered.

• ASCP Certification

Preferred:

• Completion or matriculation in a Master of Science degree.

• Two years classroom teaching experience in the field of Medical Laboratory Science

Certifications and Licenses Required:

• ASCP Certification

Scheduling Requirements:

• Days to work

• Part-Time work schedule - 20 hours/week

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for participating in the planning, development, implementation, evaluation and instruction of various Medical Laboratory science courses, with a primary focus on Immunohematology.

• Courses are taught using a range of modalities. Experience using a Learning Management System to help organize course materials, communicate with students, administer course exams, and evaluate student progression.

• Course appointments are onsite in Long Branch, New Jersey, as well as online/hybrid format.
