Description We are offering a position for an Accounting Specialist in Livermore, California. This role involves assisting with various accounting tasks, such as reconciling and creating journal entries. You will be responsible for providing guidance to staff accountants and assisting with external audits and regulatory filings. Your role will also include leading the month-end closing process and reconciling complex general ledger accounts.

Responsibilities:

• Assist staff accountants with day-to-day inquiries and requests

• Help with external audit and examinations, and regulatory filings

• Lead the month-end closing process by balancing and providing detailed support for general ledger accounts

• Reconcile complex general ledger accounts that involve money movement for the organization

• Generate month and quarter end reports for financial reporting

• Assist with the preparation of regulatory reporting

• Use Microsoft Excel and Teams to perform job duties

• Maintain a high level of attention to detail and prioritize work in a high-paced environment

• Utilize skills in Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Check Processing, and Account Reconciliation to perform job duties.

This position offers a short-term contract employment opportunity. Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential for this role

• Demonstrable experience with accounting functions is a must

• Knowledge and experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required

• Familiarity with Check Processing procedures is needed

• The ability to perform Account Reconciliation effectively is a key requirement

• The role requires solid understanding and hands-on experience with accounting software and databases

• The candidate should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy is necessary

• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills are crucial

• The ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information is required

• Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
