Union bricklayers are responsible in construction for laying brick, concrete masonry units(block), and stone masonry.? As an apprentice, you will learn attention to detail, how to properly lay a masonry wall, layout of the bond for the material, and why these materials are being used.? Knowing what structural material is compared to the aesthetic look is important in the trade.? After 4 years of apprenticeship, you will become a journeyman with the ability to become a foreman or superintendent.
