Work Schedule: Nights with Rotation to Days Weekend and Holiday Rotation

Hours: 6:30pm-7:30am, with possible rotation to 6am-7pm or 8am-9pm. Rotating weekends and holidays

Summary:

Provides cardiopulmonary respiratory therapy to the inpatient and outpatient populations as ordered by a physician, according to established standards and practices.

Responsibilities:

EDUCATION

  • Either: (1) Associates Degree with Certification in Respiratory Therapy or (2) Graduated from High School or equivalent, and has completed an approved one (1) year certificate program in Respiratory Therapy Technology or a Respiratory program determined by the Department to be equivalent and at least five (5) years of experience required

  • Licensed New York State Respiratory Therapy Technician require, New York State Respiratory Therapist license preferred

  • BLS within (2) two months of employment

EXPERIENCE

  • Three (3) months of experience as a license eligible Respiratory Therapy Technician preferred

  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
