LEHI CITY CORPORATION Office Assistant - Fleet Department in LEHI, Utah


OFFICE ASSISTANT


CLOSING DATE: Open until Filled

PAY RATE: $15.76 - $18.93 per hour (depending on experience)

SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday: 5 hours a day (hours to be determined)

DEPARTMENT: Fleet


JOB SUMMARY


This employee will work under the general supervision of the Fleet Manager and the Shop Foreman.

  • Performs secretarial and clerical duties in support of Fleet Management staff.
  • Coordinates with departments and Fleet staff for the scheduling of repairs.
  • Invoices put in the Fleet Management software.
  • Ensures accurate and complete Fleet Management records.
  • Input fuel records and stock orders into Fleet Management software.
  • May assist with vehicle transports and parts runs.

RESPONSIBLITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS


  • Graduation from High School AND two (2) years of experience directly related to above duties OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of general office maintenance and practices.
  • Operation of computer terminal in utilizing various software programs related to word and word processing, spreadsheet, and database management.
  • Operation of standard office equipment.
  • Basic mathematics and accounting.
  • Interpersonal communication skills and telephone etiquette.
  • Public relations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, meaning city employees.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality related to sensitive Fleet information.
  • Operate personnel computer in utilizing various programs to produce or compose formal documents, reports, and records.
  • Must have valid Utah driver's license.
