REI Slot Maintenance Specialist - 1st Shift in Lebanon, Tennessee

Our team seeks a Slot Maintenance Specialist to help us create better outdoor experiences by ensuring that REI’s standards are properly applied and maintained in our Distribution Center. In this role, you will support the daily operation by accurately and effectively managing product flow, appropriately slotting product, working with vendors on any problem receipts/orders and assisting with complicated situations, such as returns from our retail locations. As a Specialist, you will make decisions that will have an impact on operations and ensure compliance with REI’s values and missions.

This position will work Monday through Friday 6am-2:30pm

Responsibilities and Qualifications

How you will be successful:

  • Safely handle product and Distribution Center equipment. 

  • Work well in a team-based environment. 

  • Manage inventory levels and perform cycle counts for inventory in warehouse.

  • Accurately slot product in appropriate location in warehouse.

  • Flexible, with the ability to navigate different departments based on the business need. 

  • Easy to navigate directions and feedback to and from others. 

  • Attention to detail in all tasks and assignments. 

  • Work efficiently and safely by setting practical goals, establishing priorities, and producing to standard.

Your qualities:  

  • 1+ year(s) experience using various warehouse equipment (forklift, order picker).  

  • Experience with RF handheld equipment. 

  • Comfortable and able to work with heights of 30+ ft.  

  • Proven safety record in operating warehouse equipment. 

  • Lift and shift boxes weighing an average of 20 to 30 pounds with a maximum of 65 pounds throughout 8–12-hour shifts. 

  • Able to work standing or walking for 8–12-hour shifts.

Pay Range

$20.70 - $23.00 per hour
