Ultrasound Tech , Sonograpner PRN at Sacred Heart Hospital in Lavonia, GA

Position Purpose:

Medical Sonographer to work in the Radiology Department at Sacred Heart Hospital in Lavonia, Georgia. This position is a PRN position.

What you do:

  • Under direction of the radiologist, utilizes equipment producing two/ three-dimensional high frequency sound waves to create diagnostic images of the human body for use in diagnosis of disease or organ malfunctions.

  • Participate with physicians in reading sonographs and making diagnostic judgments based on test results.

What you need:

  • Licensure/Certification/Registration: Registered or registry eligible with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) (RVT), CCI or (ARRT). If registry eligible, must be registered by the ARDMS or ARRT in ultrasound within 1 year of your hire date. Preferred additional (ARRT)(RT

  • Registered CPR BLS Certification, thru American Heart Association

  • Education: Graduate of an AMA approved school of sonography or radiology

  • Experience: Experience necessary to demonstrate competence. 1 year experience preferred.
