As a Production Technician II with PCB Piezotronics, Inc., you will perform a variety of assembly tasks that require the ability to follow instructions and a thorough knowledge of techniques, materials, tools and equipment.

Additional Duties:

  • Refers to documentation (drawings, Routers, BOM’s, and specifications) to perform simple assembly on various product lines. Writes legibly, signs and dates job traveler when steps are completed.

  • Works with other technicians, engineers and departments to verify existing processes, assembly methods, and assembly procedures. Communicates with supervisors, lead persons and other production departments to ensure production schedule and delivery deadlines are met for team.

  • Must become knowledgeable in the use of all assembly equipment in the department including multi-meters, drill press, ultrasonic cleaner, microscope, fine hand tools, and basic powered hand tools.

  • Provides input on yield issues for improvement.

  • Ensures that all material and equipment calibration stickers are not expired before using, and notifies supervisor or lead person if expired or close to expiration.

  • Must inspect all workmanship and special processes of an operation that was performed ensuring quality before handing into next operation. Shows commitment to quality and total customer satisfaction through dedicating skills to achieve zero defect status. Provides information to supervisor and co-workers to positively affect quality and output.

  • Performs testing on printed circuit board assemblies and sub-assemblies.

  • Able to read and understand electrical schematics. Generates schematics when requested for simple circuits, reworks and test fixtures. Integrates sub-assemblies to create complete systems. Tests completed systems and ensures they are ready for shipping.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Experience: Four to eight years experience in field of electrical assembly. Must have background in soldering surface mount component, ESD control and epoxying.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates in an electronics program and experience reading drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics
