Pacific Seafood Inventory Control Coordinator I in Las Vegas, Nevada

Summary:

The Inventory Control Coordinator I will be responsible for monitoring and managing the timeliness and accuracy of systematic inventory transactions for supported sites, cold storage warehouses and associated accounts to ensure the smooth and accurate flow of inventory data and records.  

Key Responsibilities:   

  • Maintain ongoing communication with the sites you support, providing updates on their inventory status and addressing any issues. 

  • Report the status & accuracy of inventory levels & transactions to internal customers & external vendors.

  • Build good working relationships with Pacific's plants, Controllers, support operations, and vendors.

  • Provide front line support & expertise to the Processing Division on system transactions. Upon request, provide Standard Work & training to internal customers.

  • Actively participate on the Shrink/Credit Team; control shrink on all products with high focus on in house production items; track shrink, and credits compared to budget goals.

  • Create and maintain Excel spreadsheets and databases; prepare and submit reports as required.

  • Take daily action to address negative on hand balances, inventory & cost variances, and transaction timeliness.

  • Make prompt inventory adjustments as needed to correct transaction errors or to accurately reflect cycle counts.

  • Assist in inputting picks into system and review for accuracy.

  • Verify purchase orders and receiving match accompanying documents.

  • Prepare and reconcile outside storage transfers.

  • Process customer/vendor Debit & Credit requests in a timely manner.

  • Initiate regular cycle counts as part of the reconciliation process. 

  • Analyze inventory variances & information discrepancies for root cause.

  • Perform root cause analysis on recurring problems and recommend preventive action.

  • Maintain and develop controls and procedures to ensure inventory control process is followed.

  • Review negative quantity reports & parent/child product structures and adjust as needed.

  • Recommend corrective & preventive action on the basis of root cause analysis.

  • Track & report on the causes of variances, transaction delays & errors.

  • Ensure inventories are being moved on a First-In-First-Out basis.

  • Coordinate with sales, production supervisor and purchasing to maintain inventory par levels.

  • Perform other duties, as assigned.

    What You Bring to Pacific Seafood:

    Required

  • Associate degree from an accredited college, university or technical school; or high school diploma/GED and one year related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

    Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel, including data import, sorts & filtering, and formulas. 

  • Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.

  • Material handling, planning, logistics, or accounting experience.

  • Advanced Mathematics

  • Proficient data entry and 10-key skills

    Salary Range: $16.61 - $18.52 per hour
