Robert Half Bookkeeper in Las Vegas, Nevada

Description

We are seeking a dedicated Bookkeeper to join our team in Las Vegas, Nevada. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing various forms of payments, and administering payroll. You will also collaborate with our Project Managers to ensure accurate and timely billing to our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee general bookkeeping tasks, ensuring accurate and up-to-date financial records.

• Administer all aspects of payroll and related reporting, ensuring all processes are carried out efficiently and in compliance with relevant regulations.

• Review, code, and process accounts payable requests to ensure accurate record keeping.

• Handle accounts receivable, including processing payments and tracking outstanding receivables.

• Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure accurate and timely billing to our customers.

• Track receivables for reporting purposes and conduct collection calls as needed.

• Process contracts and subcontracts, ensuring all details are accurately recorded and relevant parties are informed.

• Prepare monthly reports, including union ironworkers, workers compensation, and sales tax returns.

• Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.

• Handle year-end tax reconciliation and prepare W2s as required.

• Perform general office administration tasks as required, ensuring the smooth running of the office.

Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a bookkeeping role

• Proficiency in account reconciliation

• Experience with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with bank reconciliations

• Strong bookkeeping skills

• Proficient in data entry

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

• Experience with month end close procedures

• Payroll management skills

• Experience with QuickBooks software

• Familiarity with AIA Billing procedures

• Knowledge of payroll tax reporting, payroll tax returns and payroll taxes

• Experience with certified payroll procedures

• Understanding of prevailing wage requirements

• Certified as a Notary Public
