Job Description

LGHP Neurology is seeking a full time CRNP or PA to join its growing inpatient neurology practice. Our fast paced environment involves initial diagnosis and acute management of ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, rare headache conditions, and neurologic complications of other critical conditions such as cardiac arrest, sepsis, and non-neurologic surgical procedures. Our team functions all over the hospital primarily as a consultant service in both emergent and non-emergent settings. The ideal candidate would join our team of 8 physicians and 5 APPs. The sub-specialists on our team include vascular neurology, neuro-critical care, neurophysiology / epilepsy. The position would allow rotation between day and night shifts as needed by the team. This position also allows for both incredible autonomy mixed with active constant support from a friendly and collaborative team. We are all interested in continuing to elevate the level of neurologic knowledge of our patients and community so we are also constantly learning as a team to deliver the highest quality care.

Hours : Full time 1.0 FTE (40 hours per week). Shifts include 8-12 hours starting at 8am, 11am, 7pm, and 11pm. In addition to occasionally filling in shifts for other team members who may be away. Team members rotate responsibility for holidays and weekends but with a growing team there is increasing flexibility.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Nurse Practitioner

• Valid Pennsylvania licensure as a Registered Nurse

• Certification by ANCC or other qualifying agency in area of specialty required.

• Valid Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner license and Certificate of Prescriptive Authority in Pennsylvania

• Credentialed by the medical staff in accordance with current policy and procedure.

• Effective August 1st, 2023, the certification of the nurse practitioner must align with the population the nurse practitioner will primarily be caring for unless otherwise determined by the Chief Nursing Officer and in accordance with hospital practice needs.

• Experience in Neurology preferred.

Physician Assistant

• Current licensure as a Physician Assistant by PA Board of Medicine.

• Graduate of Accredited Physician Assistant training program.

• Minimum one year experience as a Physician Assistant is preferred.

• Experience in neurology is preferred
