Job Requirements:

This position reports to the Controller of the Sealing Division of Alkegen. We have an immediate opening for an experienced Staff Accountant to join our team onsite in Lancaster, PA. This is a hybrid role with Mon.-Thurs. in office and Friday being remote. This position will be part of a team that is responsible for the month end close of four major manufacturing plants. In addition to month end close responsibilities, this position will also be responsible for various other duties throughout each month revolving around other aspects of finance.

Responsibilities:

  • Month end close duties – journal entries, various reporting, financial statement preparation and analysis.

  • Monthly account reconciliations.

  • Work with external auditors during annual audit.

  • Assist in the maintenance of AP vendors within ERP.

  • Monitor various control metrics monthly relating to reconciliation and journal entry documentation.

  • Complete various reporting revolving around plant performance metrics.

  • Assist with the recording and reporting of payroll.

  • Assist with the annual budget preparation.

  • Assist with monthly forecasting.

  • Various adhoc assignments.

    Other:

  • Must adhere to all company and location policies and safety rules.

  • Must be able to work extended hours when required.

  • All other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications/ Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • Three (3) or more years of accounting experience--specifically participating in a monthly close process.

  • Fundamental understanding of Income Statement preparation and analysis.

  • Fundamental understanding of Balance Sheet account reconciliations.

  • Must be proficient in Excel (vlookups, pivot tables).

  • Must have prior ERP experience.

  • Spreadsheet Server experience is a plus but not required.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong time management and priorities management skills.

  • Analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Computer literate with knowledge of Excel.

  • Ability to interact with vendors and internal customers.

  • Metrics driven.
