DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Location: 715 Fountain Avenue, Lancaster, PA 17601

Ecore is looking for a new Accounting Manager to manage and oversee the financial data of our Materials Business Unit (MBU). This position conducts the financial analysis necessary for the MBU to make sound business decisions and is responsible for implementing the proper accounting procedures.

Core Contributions: * Conduct general accounting, financial analysis and financial statement reporting for subsidiary companies. Responsible for variance analysis, monitoring key financial ratios, and making recommendations to management. Provide accounting expertise and leadership to remote subsidiaries. Oversee accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure that all reporting is in compliance with GAAP reporting guidelines. * Manage team members performing bookkeeping at the MBU. Monitor sales, purchasing, cash disbursement and receipt processes, maintain chart of accounts, review monthly transactions for accuracy in coding, define general ledger journal entries, assist with government filings (1099's, tax payments, and business license applications), complete account reconciliations, resolve discrepancies, maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules, establish and implement process improvements. Oversee, guide and train subsidiaries' administrative staff to ensure compliance and adherence to all procedures, accounting guidelines and principles. * Manage and conduct month-end closing tasks for subsidiaries (i.e., bank, intercompany and inventory reconciliations, payroll journal entries, sales tax verification and returns, commission calculations and accruals). * Assist with budget planning, forecasting, and analysis by providing accurate and relevant data reporting. * Maintain our accounting department (i.e., consolidated income statement reports, adjusting journal entries, intercompany transactions, and special projects as assigned.) * Be the primary contact for annual financial statement audits for subsidiary companies. Maintain knowledge of overall subsidiary financial situation to answer questions and prepare audit schedules related to general ledger accounts, accounting procedures, financial data, and any other business activities occurring that year.

Essential Experiences: * Bachelor's degree in accounting * 5+ years of accounting experience * 2+ years of experience leading a team
