FAIRFIELD COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT

Position: Public Health Nurse Pay Status: Full Time or Part Time 8-4 M-F Salary Range: $44,518- $60,771 Based on Experience and Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio; Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university required. Associate degree accepted, bachelor's degree preferred. A minimum of two years of nursing experience or six months or more experience in Public Health preferred. Valid Ohio driver's license.

Summary of Essential Duties Under the direction and supervision of the Nursing Director, this position utilizes nursing and public health concepts and theories including basic epidemiology to provide selected health promotion and disease prevention services to individuals, families, and groups in a variety of settings. Participates in planning, implementing and evaluation health programs including selected health education programs. Participates in public health programs including but not limited to communicable disease control, services to children with medical handicaps, health screenings, immunizations, and selected grant sponsored programs.
