Position Description:

CGI is currently hiring a Governance, Risk, and Compliance Officer to join our Engagement Assessment Services (EAS) team. We are seeking an individual with experience in managing complex projects, adeptly navigating challenges, and successfully delivering outcomes as specified in contracts. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of financials, including fixed-price, cost-plus, and time-and-materials (T&M) models. As a member of the team, you will be responsible for end-to-end engagement risk management, which includes conducting opportunity risk assessments, reviewing ongoing projects to identify risks, and providing support to overcome challenges. Your focus will be on ensuring successful project delivery in alignment with contractual obligations and implementing risk mitigation strategies for our Federal Business Unit.

This position is located in our Lafayette, LA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Conduct Risk Assessments for New Deals:

o Evaluate risks associated with newly assigned deals.

o Participate in executive review meetings where deal background, win strategy, and solution are discussed to identify and mitigate risks.

• During project delivery, actively participate in reviewing the monthly Health Check report alongside the Project Manager (PM).

• Assess risks and assign risk color ratings, ensuring that associated actions are geared toward maintaining a “green” status.

• Contribute to the Engagement Risk Management process by independently assessing risks for ongoing engagements.

• Support implementation and compliance of project management best practices as defined by CGI in alignment with the contract, providing guidance to BUs

• Meet with PMs to educate on the start-up governance according to CGI Project Management best practices and their contract to support successful delivery

• Support the PM/SDM Practice through the evaluation of project management skills and ratings to validate the right level of PM experience assigned to the contract

• Identify and monitor complexity gaps between PM and project identifying risks and mitigation

• Participate in and teach the Mastering CGI Engagement Delivery (MCED) class 2 times a year

• Promote and support Knowledge Sharing Activities between Business Units identifying and applying lessons learned

• Provide Estimation guidance including Benchmarking, Est Validation, Independent Solution Assessment

• Review the award notification emails and become familiar with the active contracts within Federal through participating in various activities.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years of professional experience in a services organization; Federal Consulting experience highly desired

• Strong delivery experience, financial understanding and operational management, or sales background

• Experience leading workshops to colleagues

• Action-oriented, able to balance multiple tasks and prioritize

• Good analytical skills, able to quickly identify key issues and provide valuable support and recommendations to mitigate associated risks going forward while still achieving business goals

• Able to review documents quickly and produce a succinct executive-level written report

• Excellent written and oral communication skills; able to have direct conversations with BU leaders and Sector VPs on risks and issues

• Diplomatic, patient and supportive with the ability to form partnership based on respect and mutual cooperation

• Able to provide coaching and training to project managers and service delivery managers

• Comfortable working with at all levels of the BU, especially the BU Leader, sector leads, OPLs and project and service delivery managers

• Reliable and able to maintain confidentiality

• A team player

• Practical, creative problem solver

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $110,000.00 - $240,600.00.
