Responsibilities

Establish plan of care for new oncology and hematology patients that are referred to our department; Monitor progress of established patients and make adjustments to treatment plans as necessary; Work as part of a care team with NP/PAs and nursing; See patients in clinic and through telemedicine daily (M-F); Respond to consult requests from the hospital internal medicine service for hospitalized patients with oncology or hematology diagnoses; Perform bone marrow biopsies; Answer questions from patients, nursing, hospital staff and non-Mayo providers as needed when on call; and Participate in 24 x 7 call rotation.

Qualifications

MD, DO, or foreign degree equivalent. Eligible for Wisconsin medical license. BE/BC in Oncology and Hematology or in final year of ACGME-Accredited program leading to board eligibility in Oncology and Hematology.
