EAGLE CREST SOUTH Resident Care Assistant in LA CROSSE, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Resident Care Assistant Eagle Crest Communities is seeking a Resident Care Assistant In this role to support the residents in our assisted living, high acuity or memory care apartments. This High Acuity apartments are designed to accommodate those whose needs are greater than care available in a traditional assisted living environment yet do not require skilled nursing care. Here, we have a range of residents that are independent to others who require mechanical lifts, assistance with medication administration, and other activities of daily living. Our Memory Care Units are designed to provide care and support to older adults who experience memory impairment. Here, we have a range of residents that are independent, to others who require mechanical lifts, assistance with medication administration, and other activities of daily living. What You\'ll Do: - Assist residents with personal cares, daily activities while helping them maintain as much independence and dignity as possible - Provide dressing, bathing and bathroom assistance - Transport residents to meals and activities, documentation of daily care, and a variety of other tasks. - Communicate and interact with residents, their families, and other departments to create an environment that focuses on resident safety and well-being. What You\'ll Need: - Previous direct care experience, preferred - Certified Nursing Assistant training and/or experience (any State), preferred - CBRF Certification, preferred Other Potential Responsibilities of Job: Turn or reposition bedridden patients. Answer patient call signals, signal lights, bells, or intercom systems to determine patients\' needs. Feed patients or assist patients to eat or drink. Provide physical support to assist patients to perform daily living activities, such as getting out of bed, bathing, dressing, using the toilet, standing, walking, or exercising. Document or otherwise report observations of patient behavior, complaints, or physical symptoms to nurses. Remind patients to take medications or nutritional supplements. Review patients\' dietary restrictions, food allergies, and preferences to ensure patient receives appropriate diet. Undress, wash, and dress patients who are unable to do so for themselves. Observe or examine patients to detect symptoms that may require medical attention, such as bruises, open wounds, or blood in urine. Communicate with patients to ascertain feelings or need for assistance or social and emotional support. Gather information from caregivers, nurses, or physicians about patient condition, treatment plans, or appropriate activities. Wash, groom, shave, or drape patients to prepare them for surgery, treatment, or examination. Prepare or serve food trays. Change bed linens or make beds.
