JOB REQUIREMENTS: CNA employees at our facility perform objective-level work, providing direct and indirect nursing care, for geriatric, disabled and/or cognitively impaired clients at the Veterans Home. This care is designed to meet the therapeutic, preventative, restorative, spiritual, psychosocial, cognitive and rehabilitative needs of WVHK members. This position works as an integral part of the health care team under the limited supervision of a Nursing Supervisor and under the direction of licensed nursing staff. Job Details Hours/Shifts: Full Time (40 hrs/week) Part Time (less than 40 hrs/week) Evening 2nd Shift (2pm- 10pm or similar hours) Night 3rd Shift (10pm - 6am or similar hours) Full-time and part-time positions require the availability to work varying hours and/or overtime shifts as assigned. Job duties include the ability to assist in patient mobility efforts, stand and/or walk up to 75% of eight-hour day to provide assessments, kneel, stoop, make visual observations, lift, push, pull, carry, reach, maintain hygiene, use special safety equipment, and wear protective clothing. Employment in this position is contingent upon passing a pre-employment tuberculosis (TB) skin test. Employees at this healthcare facility are required to report their COVID-19 vaccination status, whether vaccinated or not, and provide supporting documentation if vaccinated. Newly hired employees will be required to submit this information by their third day of employment.
