The selected Senior Network Engineer will be joining the Echo Program area of the Space Security Division of Lockheed Martin Space, Mission Solutions.

This is a high speed, and growing program area that has demonstrated the ability to execute rapidly on ever changing customer priorities. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude who enjoys working in a team environment to overcome complex problems

Common Job Duties:

• Designs and plans network communications systems.

• Provides specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.

• Provides specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.

• Conducts testing of network design.

• Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, firewalls, switches, gateways, Ipsec tunnels, etc.

• Evaluates and reports on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.

*This is a level 3, MID CAREER role where successful Applicants will: *

• Typically possess a minimum of 5 years of professional experience having received a Bachelors Degree from an accredited college/university in a related discipline, or additional experience/combined education in lieu of degree

Selected candidate must have a Top Secret security clearance prior to start.

Basic Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of CISCO / Juniper network devices and configurations

• Compliance with DOD 8570 IAT Level II, Holding Sec +, CISSP, CASP, or other DOD compliant certification

• Working knowledge of Linux distributions

• Top Secret Security Clearance required prior to start

Desired Skills:

• Working knowledge of network routing protocols such as BGP / OSPF

• Experience applying STIGs to network devices

• Experience implementing and managing ipsec tunnels

• Experience working with TACLANES

• Experience with monitoring, diagnostics, and troubleshooting complex WAN's

• Experience creating network diagrams and designs using tools such as Visio

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
