Aerotek CNC Machinist in Kentwood, Michigan

CNC Machinist - Grand Rapids, MI

  • 8:00pm - 6:00am

  • $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

  • Direct Hire

Description:

CNC machinist in a fast-paced environment machining parts for multiple industries. This machinist will be responsible for operating mills and lathes, and working together as a group to complete tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes.

  • Use measurement tools including micrometers and calipers.

  • Perform up to 8 tool changes daily on machinery.

  • Make minor edit to programs.

  • Perform quality checks on parts.

  • Work indecently and within a team setting to complete tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Must Haves:

-5 years experience on CNC Machines (Screw Machines, Grinders, Mills, Lathes)

-5 years experience reading blueprints

-5 years experience making edits to existing programs

-2 years minimum doing quality checks on parts using micrometers and calipers

-5 years experience cutting Steel
