Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.

  • 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years of recent experience in property accounting.

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, real estate accounting, and financial reporting.

  • Proficiency with accounting software (experience with Yardi, MRI, or similar property management software preferred).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

responsibilities:

  • Manage all accounting aspects related to property management, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliations.

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for assigned properties.

  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with GAAP and company policies.

  • Oversee property budgets, forecasting, and variance analysis.

  • Coordinate with property managers and other departments to resolve financial discrepancies and provide financial insights.

  • Prepare audit schedules and support external audits as required.

  • Maintain and update records of capital expenditures and depreciation schedules.

  • Assist in process improvement initiatives within the accounting department to streamline operations.
