As Cell Test Manager, you will lead and grow the cell test team and manage testing globally to launch our next-gen electric vehicle platform. You will work closely with cell design and modeling engineers and vehicle performance teams to create test plans and execution. You will work closely across functional teams to identify precision in testing or improvements in methodologies and measurement in cell testing.

What you’ll be able to do:

• Lead and grow the cell testing team

• Define and document test requirements for cell characterization, abuse, safety, warranty and other tests for current and future cell chemistries

• Own cell-level test plans to characterize cell properties needed for setting cell specifications and control algorithms.

• Analyze test results to assess quality of data collected to optimize performance and reliability

• Lead or support cell teardowns for current and future chemistries

The minimum requirements we seek:

• Understanding of lithium-ion cell chemistry and electrochemistry fundamentals

• Knowledge of electrical test equipment used in battery cell testing

• Experience with test planning and management using tools like JAMA and JIRA

• Ability to learn new concepts and methods, propose design of experiments, and execute independently.

• Some experience with battery test equipment scripting (AVL Lynx)

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• An eagerness to work cross-functionally in a dynamic environment where you are part of a high performing team

• A system approach to design and testing with the desire and curiosity to strive for exceptional delivery execution and continuous improvement
