Position Summary:

The In Vivo Biologist is responsible for supporting multiple animal studies including but not limited to in-vivo animal handling skills, take down, tissue collection and dosing.

What You'll Do:

• Demonstrate exceptional ability to assist team members with executing high-quality in vivo studies and record down dosing times, dosing volume, bleeding times, body weights, food consumption and unscheduled events

• Be able to carry out randomize, blind, formulate, dosing of test compounds to study animals using the following mythologies PO,Subcutaneous(SC),Intramuscular (IM),Intravenous (IV),Intraperitoneal (IP)

• Delivers high-quality tissue samples, including plasma, Dorsal Root Ganglion, Central Spinal Fluid, Central Nervous Systems and Brain.

• Process, label, and deliver samples for analysis internally and externally

• Record data in notebook, presenting in laboratory/project meetings

• Demonstrates aseptic procedures

• Assists in preparing lab for necropsies, general lab ordering, general lab maintenance, stocking, organization and reagent preparation

What You’ll Need:

• Associate's Degree in related scientific field

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience with Dorsal Root Ganglion tissue collection, Animal handling and Dosing experience

• Demonstrated proficiency in dosing and handling mice and rats.

• Able to collect animal Plasma, Central Spinal Fluid, and Dorsal Root Ganglion tissues.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

• Flexibility and adaptability to a fast-paced work environment with changing priorities.

• Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to document experiments clearly and according to Good Research Practice principles.

• Ensures full compliance with all regulations, including understanding and following all Animal Care and Use protocols.

A history of proven experience in the above skills may be accepted in lieu of a 2-year degree.
