Job Description

A client of Insight Global is looking for a Senior Cloud Architect to support a CMS program. This individual is going to be responsible for understanding customer requirements, following best practices, delivering proofs of concepts, finding new tools that are applicable to this work, and making sure the systems are designed and running properly. This person must have extensive experience in AWS and must be certified as a professional or associate. They will be assigned a specific piece of the project and will be responsible for becoming fully engrained and aware of how their part plays into the overall project. In this role, you will not necessarily have your hands "on keys" as much as you will be connecting with the customer to deliver their needs. This person will be coming in to architect new cloud solutions at the business level across 30-40 applications and they will be managing specific requirements for units in the organization. We are seeking someone who can translate the wealth of information in the console and compare it to the diagrams. This person should have experience providing their expertise to improve processes and will engage with multiple functional groups to comprehend client challenges, prototype new ideas and new technologies, and help to create solutions to drive the next wave of innovation

Skills and Requirements

• 10+ years of experience architecting in an AWS environment

   - Experience architecting design, proof of concepts, finding new tools to implement, and understanding customer requirements

   - Public Trust eligible

   - AWS certified

   - Extensive experience with Infrastructures as code (IaC)

Experience with AWS CloudFormation - Scripting in Python

 - Azure experience

 - Containerization within Docker or Kubernetes

 - Lambda functions

 - Linux/RHEL experience

 - Ansible experience

 - Splunk

 - New Relic null
