Direct Support Professional - Dining Support

Rate of pay $16.00 per hour.

Monday-Friday: 8:00am- 3:30pm; (Position requires flexibility with hours)

Young adults to seniors with intellectual and developmental disabilities come to Cardinal Hall Day Habilitation for a wide variety of activities and supports. They choose what they want to do to reach their personal goals.

The focus in this position:

• Complete daily inspection of modified meals and ensure that they are processed correctly.

• Provide ongoing support and guidance to the Direct Support Professional.

• Prepare each table's assigned bin to ensure correct dining equipment is present and in good condition.

• To assist the individuals served to know their own personal strengths and worth.

• Support healthy living practices.

• Assist the individuals served in maintaining a comfortable, orderly and clean environment.

• Participate in the development and review of each individual's service meeting planning meetings.

  The requirements for this position:

• High School Diploma or GED (now called TASC).

• Exceptional written and communication skills.

• Basic computer skills.

• A valid driver's license.

• Ability to be certified in all required trainings.

• Occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Preferred One-year experience working with individuals with disabilities.
