Description We are offering a contract opportunity for a General Word Processor in Houston, Texas. The individual will work primarily within the legal industry, providing essential support through a range of administrative duties. This role is particularly suited to individuals with expertise in Adobe Acrobat, Dictaphone, Dictation, Microsoft Office Suites, Microsoft Word, Scanning, and Typing.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, and other Microsoft Office Suites to create, edit, and format legal documents.

• Operate Dictaphone and other dictation devices to transcribe legal documents and correspondence.

• Employ scanning tools to digitize physical documents, ensuring accurate record keeping.

• Use typing skills to create error-free, well-formatted documents, maintaining a high level of accuracy and speed.

• Manage and organize legal documents, ensuring they are up-to-date and easily accessible.

• Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity.

• Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and deadlines are met.

• Address queries related to document processing and provide assistance where necessary.

• Continually update skills and knowledge to adapt to new legal document processing technologies. Requirements • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat

• Experience with dictation tools such as Dictaphone

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites including Microsoft Word

• Experience in scanning documents and converting them to digital formats

• Strong typing skills with attention to accuracy

• Ability to transcribe dictated recordings accurately

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Willingness to continuously update skills and knowledge as job requires.
