Polk Mechanical Company LLC HVAC Service Field Supervisor in Houston, Texas

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise, manage and responsible for coaching and training of service technicians

  • Manage workload, overtime and overall demand on labor resource planning

  • Work with sales teams on sales and rental equipment.

  • Review projects, define the equipment and service scope with customer and sales department.

  • Monitor cost and overall profitability of projects

  • Work with procurement to prepare equipment PO’s, installation and parts lists, and vendor required items as well as to coordinate shipment and installation to customer site

  • Supervise mechanical and electrical installation, monitor and enforce scope as well as manage customer expectations

  • Supervise start-up & commissioning of the equipment

  • Obtain inspection sign-off, customer sign-off, and monitor final invoicing preparation

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of field service management or project management experience required

  • Must have strong technical ability in HVAC equipment

  • Individual should be able to interact and develop relationships with the sales department, customers and management.

  • Proficient use of MS-Office products, especially Word and Excel

  • Valid driver's license

  • Ability to work on a flexible work schedule

  • Dynamic and passionate with a strong teamwork mentality

    Success Factors:

  • Key functional experience needs to include the basics of: Training, coaching, and management of field service staff. Serving as a working supervisor and front line technical advisor to service technician and customers. Maintaining safety and productivity and ensures technicians are meeting customer requirements.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and adept at employee relations: Ideal candidate can handle the wear and tear of a fast-paced environment with an advanced sense of urgency while maintaining an employee-focused culture. Must be an active listener, servant leader, team-oriented, and demonstrate spatial intelligence in problem-solving and process implementation while providing exemplary customer service to both external and internal customers.

  • Facilitate compliance and maintain culture focused on customer satisfaction: Ensures that our customer is viewed through the lens of not just one project, but a lifetime of projects. Ensure field technicians are doing whatever it takes to build a relationship based in confidence and success for our customers for life.
