Actalent is searching for a Project Manager to join Hawaii’s top multi-disciplinary Construction Management firm. Candidates with Department of Education experience is well sought after but candidates with similar experience especially with Hawaii state municipalities will be heavily considered.

Essential Job Functions:

• Coordinate with clients, subconsultants, and internal team.

• Foster positive client relationships and maintain consistent communication.

• Plan, organize, direct, and manage project team activities.

• Set goals, evaluate staff performance, and motivate the team.

• Define and control project scope, budget, and schedule.

• Review Requests for Proposals, prepare fees and contracts, and monitor project billing.

• Oversee technical project management and design.

• Prepare fee proposals and pursue project work.

• Manage monthly project progress billing and project/team profitability.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of project management experience.

• Knowledge of project management principles and engineering/construction practices in Department of Education projects preferred.

• Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet, and civil engineering/architectural software.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to provide timely, efficient solutions to complex issues.

• Strong leadership and team organization skills.

• Exceptional multitasking and organizational abilities.

• Maintain effective work relationships with agencies, contractors, and the public.

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management (Not Required – Years of equivalent work will be considered)

Additional (Not Required) Certifications that are desirable:

• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification desirable.

• Licensed Professional Engineer in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical branch desirable.
