Wells Fargo Bank N.A. seeks a Senior Software Engineer in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.

Job Role and Responsibility: Support the Mainframe platform by defining, designing, developing, and implementing technology solutions to support the organization’s strategic initiatives as well as support the Platform Management team in keeping a stable and secure software application. Analyze business and technical requirements to inform system design. Produce architecture and design documents to effectively communicate the solution to the team and partners. Develop code that satisfies business and technical requirements while meeting expected standards of availability, performance, integrity, stability, and scalability. Assure quality, security, and compliance requirements are met. Provide expertise on coding standards, and conduct code reviews. Collaborate with senior management, developers, IT peers (interfacing app teams, middleware, DBAs, etc.), and business teams.

Required Qualifications: Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related position involving application development and implementation experience.

Specific skills required:

• Five (5) years of Mainframe experience;

• Five (5) years of DB2 experience;

• Five (5) years of FileAid experience;

• Five (5) years of SQL experience;

• Five (5) years of CICS experience;

• Five (5) years of Cobol experience;

• Five (5) years of JCL (Job Control Language) experience;

• Three (3) years of Endevor experience;

• Three (3) years of CA7 scheduler experience;

• Three (3) years of Postman experience; and

• Three (3) years of SOAP experience in building and supporting Mainframe web services
