Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts Senior Manager, Digital Marketing Strategy in Hingham, Massachusetts

The Senior Manager, Digital Marketing Strategy is a new and exciting role at BCBSMA. This position will be responsible for site strategy and content management across all digital properties at the organization. Improving digital satisfaction and performance are key goals for the business and this role will be responsible for leading a cross-functional team to deliver against these goals.

The ideal person for this role is a highly strategic thinker, with extensive technical knowledge of the digital space and a good handle of the content landscape. They will lead the day-to-day management of the site(s) and guided by our Consumer Experience and Content Strategy leads, will be responsible for approving all site content before it is published. This role will work closely with the brand and strategic marketing leads to ensure all marketing efforts have landing experiences built to deliver on the communications being promoted. This position will also need to exert influence across the organization, educating groups on web best-practices, holding firm on editorial calendar choices, and building and managing a site governance process to ensure adherence to strategic plans.

This role is eligible for the Flex persona.

Your Day to Day:

  • Develops and owns a plan to deliver against digital satisfaction score goals – focusing on areas that have the most impact to our member audience – and manages cross-functional activity required to support determined needs.

  • Owns site editorial calendar and implementation of web content, and in close partnership with CX, Insights, and Content Strategy identifies new experiential and content needs to deliver against digital satisfaction goals.

  • Leads a cross-functional team integrating public and post-login content experience.

  • Establishes and reports on site KPI’s, making recommendations on future improvements

  • Conducts ongoing content audits to identify gaps and redundancies in current site content, and identify new opportunities to deliver on emerging member needs.

  • Manages both internal and external digital partners.

  • Works closely with cross-functional team to ensure a smooth and intuitive UX is delivered across all site properties and apps.

  • Primarily focuses on Member site experience, but will be Marketing lead for all site work – both B2B and B2C

  • Informs Paid Search strategy partnering with Brand/paid media team and agency partners.

  • Informs, influences and drive SEO strategy with internal digital partners .

  • Informs and collaborates with integrated channel team on key challenges and opportunities to drive reach of owned properties, registration and engagement.

  • Acts as key point of contact for all internal departments that provide content into sites, offering thought leadership and experiential direction.

  • Presents strategies and results to leadership as well as internal business stakeholders.

  • Maintains a solid understanding of company products and services, market and competition.

  • Manages assigned projects for scheduled completion, cost and budget adherence.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with 10+ years of experience in digital/website marketing.

  • Passionate about digital transformation, with experience introducing “new” capabilities, processes, or thinking into an organization.

  • Deep understanding of SEO and SEM.

  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to make sound business recommendations and decisions.

  • Experience with content strategy and creative development (leading both internal and external agencies).

  • Performance-oriented, with understanding of how to manage web analytics.

  • Detail-oriented, solutions-driven, organized, multi-tasker who works well under pressure.

  • Healthcare experience and familiarity with HIPAA privacy a plus.

  • Proven effectiveness in digital marketing.

  • Effective and persuasive presentation skills across multiple management levels.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to manage complex projects across multiple departments.

  • Strong PC and/or MAC skills including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Acrobat, Adobe.

  • Adobe Omniture experience preferred, but not required.

Salary Range: $119,880.00 - $146,520.00

The job posting range is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs and affordability.

This job is also eligible for variable pay.
