RESPONSIBILITIES: This position will work in the Advanced Reliability group to support reliability assessment of GaAs fab processes and process elements. Most tests will be done on wafers. Primary responsibilities include: -Develop reliability assessment/qualification plans to qualify new processes or changes to the processes . -Participate in development, potential problem analysis, risk assessment and problem solving of new technologies or process changes. -Perform data analysis of test data from the reliability masks and provide result summaries/recommendations. -Develop electrical tests and write test codes to test structures on the reliability masks. -Perform measurement and characterization of devices and test structures. -Design and layout reliability masks containing test structures to assess reliability of process elements, margin of the processes, and process defectivity. -Perform/coordinate failure analysis of failed test structures. -Perform lifetime study of devices/process elements and perform data analysis to calculate lifetime. -Perform lab operations, coordinate reliability stress tests, and operate testers and probers as needed. -Coordinate with technicians and provide help and directions as needed. QUALIFICATIONS: -Minimum B.S. in electrical engineering or a related engineering discipline, or Applied Physics. -Minimum 2 years of work experience in semiconductor reliability, fab, device characterization, or testing. -Strong understanding of device physics, device characteristics and electronics. -Solid knowledge of semiconductor wafer processing and device structures. -Experience with statistical and data analysis and using data analysis tools. -Experience with wafer handling, probing and testing is preferred. -Experience with computer programming, software and PC hardware is preferred. -Ability to work independently, perform board scope of job functions, multi-task, and pay attention to details. -Enjoy hands-on work, data analysis, and working in lab environments.
