Position Summary The Chief Quality Inspector is responsible to the Director of Maintenance for the overall operation of the Quality Control Department and, as such, has the final authority in the releasing to service of airframes, engines, propellers, appliances, and the component parts thereof. In addition, the Chief Quality Inspector is responsible for directing, planning and laying out the details of the inspection standards, methods, and procedures used by the Repair Station in complying with all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, and manufacturer\'s specifications and recommendations. Required Duties and Responsibilities - Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the required duties and responsibilities. Responsible for the planning, direction, and coordination of quality control activities; both within the department, and in conjunction with other departments as necessary. Assist, supervise, and direct personnel assigned to accomplish inspection functions. Maintain and keep current a file of pertinent Federal Aviation Regulations, specifications, Type Certificate Data Sheets, and Airworthiness Directives. Determine that all technical data used on all articles overhauled or repaired by the Repair Required Qualifications Must maintain a valid driver\'s license. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Required Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent work experience. FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certification. 3-5 years\' experience in Quality Assurance/Airworthiness Conformity. 5 years\' experience in maintaining and inspecting GA and corporate aircraft. Physical Requirements Must be able to lift and carry up to 80 pounds with assistance. Finger dexterity is required as well as hand strength, with the ability to grasp, lift, push and pull.
