Intel Analog Circuit Design Engineer in Hillsboro, Oregon

Job Description

Advanced Design Group in Intel's Foundry Technology Development works on leading edge process nodes first before official wider availability.

As an Analog Circuit Design Engineer, you'll be responsible for but not limited to the following:

-Design analog mixed-signal circuits in leading edge nodes as technology characterization, foundational IP and demonstrators.

-Perform pre-silicon functional verifications using mixed-signal flows and tools.

-Measure the performance of these circuits both in high-volume vehicles for process characterization/yield and as proof-of-concept technology demonstrators.

  • Work with measurement teams to define high volume tests and analyze the results to provide process learning.

  • Collaborate with various teams such as test, process, reliability, manufacturing, product, failure analysis, and research organizations.

-Define and optimize device specifications/performance and its relationship to device processes.

  • Work with semiconductor process teams on novel integration/process flows.

  • Address customer requests or issues which may involve the definition of a custom device.

Additional responsibility includes:

  • Defines, designs, and develops analog mixed-signal integrated circuits in IPs and SoCs and creates verification test plans for validation. Circuits include ADCs, DACs, amplifiers, bias generation, filters, etc.

  • Conducts transistor level feasibility analysis, defines floorplan and layout for analog mixed-signal circuit architectures, creates test benches, and verifies and debugs designs to meet the desired specifications.

-Research toward premier publications is encouraged with opportunities for the right candidate.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum qualifications:

Candidate must possess MS degree with + years of experience or PhD degree with 1+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering or related field.

Experience in the following:

  • Analog mixed-signal circuit design with proven silicon success from design to lab testing of fabricated integrated circuits.

  • Lab experience in the following: test instruments such as signal sources, sampling oscilloscopes, AWG, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers and/or wafer probe station, DMMs, lab/testing automation.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience in the following:

  • Measured state-of-the-art performance and innovation with premier publications (JSSC, ISSCC, etc.)

  • Design of AMS circuits shipping in high volume production.

2+ years of experience in the following:

  • Design and testing integrated circuits with strong fundamentals in AMS or RF.

-Modern device physics (FinFET, GAA, HEMT, HBT, etc.).

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
