Job Description

Insight Global is seeking Secret Cleared Network Technician to join one of their top DoD clients in supporting a large defense system network that is crucial to several of our defense programs around the nation. These individuals will provide technical guidance for directing and monitoring information systems operations and design, build, and implement network systems. They will do this by compiling reports concerning network operations and maintenance and troubleshoot performance issues. Additionally, they will analyze network traffic and provide capacity planning solutions. This position requires candidates to sit onsite in a secure facility.

Skills and Requirements

* Active Secret Clearance

* Sec+ Certification or any IAT Level 2 equivalent

o Security+CE

o CCNA-Security

o CND

o SSCP

o CySAo GICSP

o GSEC * Willing to join 24/7 operation with varying shiftwork.

* Knowledge of Transport and IP

* Experience with at least one of the following:

o Fault Management

o LAN Maintenance

o Alarm Surveillance

* Experience and strong competency in at least one (ideally more) of the following:

o Optical Switching

o Switches

o Crypto Devices

o Routers

o Routing

o Video Services

o Juniper

o Promina

o CISCO

o MSPP (MultiService Provisioning Platform)

o DWDM (Dense Wavelength-Division Multiplexing)

o DSN/DRSN (Defense Service Network/Defense Red Switch Network)

* Can identify whether the network traffic they are seeing is Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) or if its User Datagram Protocol (UDP).

* Experience with Ticketing Systems * Understand routing protocols. Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) is what they use but will accept Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP), Routing Information Protocol (RIP).

* Understands routing (Access Control Lists, Routing Profiles, Autonomous Systems, Etc.).

* One of the following additional Certifications: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Design Associate (CCDA), or Cisco Certified Network Professional Certification (CCNP)

* Experience programming Call Manager Programing, and not just setting phones up.

* Experience with Synchronous Optical Network (Sonet) or Sonet SDH

* DISA or military experience in Tech Control that worked with DISA.

* Experience creating/interacting with Firewall (ACLs, Troubleshooting, created Policies, Etc.) null
