ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:\ -Diagnoses and repairs medium to heavy-duty equipment, including preventative maintenance,\ inspections, repair to air and hydraulic brakes, warranty procedures, suspension, electrical and\ body repairs with safety as the top priority.\ -Identifies, diagnoses and resolves equipment related issues.\ -Performs preventative maintenance on tractor and trailer equipment including routine technical\ repairs and completing repair orders.\ -Performs general or routine welding with or without prints.\ -Utilizes appropriate resources, such as the parts manual and computer, service bulletins and\ other resources to research problems, determine most effective and efficient method for\ repairs and locate parts.\ -Documents work order details within the companys internal order and billing program.\ -Ensures proper documentation is complete, including permits, repair orders, filing, etc.\ -Abides by all company policies and safety rules and assist in maintaining a clean, safe work\ environment.\ -Be self-motivated, able, and willing to work independently while motivating team efforts.\ -Works additional hours in accordance with business needs and other demands of the positon.

JOB SKILLS:\ -Attention to Detail: Some parts need to be in the exact right place, or they will not work. Being\ able to pay attention to the minute details of equipment repair will be necessary.\ -Strength: Some equipment can be extremely heavy and will take a lot of strength to move or\ manipulate.\ -Mechanical Skills: Equipment mechanics will need familiarity with parts and components of\ complex machinery, as well as the tools to fix them.\ -Technical Skills: Be familiar with electronics, be able to read blueprints, or use electronic\ diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot repairs.\ -Troubleshooting Skills: Need to be able to look at mechanical and electrical systems, identify\ problems and think about possible solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:\ -Five (5) plus years experience.\ -Troubleshooting, diagnosing and performing repairs on heavy duty equipment.\ -Basic computer knowledge with good written communication skills.\ -Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures,\ or governmental regulations.\ -Works well with others.\ -Must successfully complete pre-employment drug screening.
