Job Summary and Qualifications

Registered nurses provide and coordinate care for patients. The Registered Nurse is responsible for collaborating with

physicians and multidisciplinary team members to provide physical and psychological support to patients and their

families. Daily responsibilities of the RN include but are not limited to: assessments and reassessments,

developing individualized plans of care, medication administration, documentation, education, proper maintenance of

equipment, and communication of patient needs. In addition, the RN assists the surgical team in preparing the operative suite for procedures. The RN assists the surgeon in performing a safe surgical procedure.

What qualifications you will need:

• Registered Nurse: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current TN RN license, or compact licensure.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a first assistant preferred

• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor, or CPR must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

• Graduate of a nationally accredited surgical assistant training program with certification: CRNFA, CSA, CFA, SA-C.

TriStar Summit is a 200 bed comprehensive facility. We serve Davidson, Wilson and surrounding counties. We include a Level III Trauma Center. We offer a full array of acute care services.
