[Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) *[NH Cherry Point, NC *[Position Duties and Responsibilities:]{new="" roman="" times=""}]{new="" roman="" times=""}]{new="" roman="" times=""}

• Perform various administrative functions as directed: answering telephones and transcribing accurate messages, assisting with patient check-in, assisting with scheduling appointments, properly filing documents including lab chits, consultations, treatment forms and other administrative duties.
• Transport specimens and patients to other clinical areas as needed.
• Administer medications to patients as directed.
• Inform the nurse, physician extender or physician of the patient's condition and potential problems.
• Assist the provider as needed during exams to include women's health exams.

[Minimum Qualifications: ]{new="" roman="" times=""}

• Certificate.
• Graduate from a medical assistant training program accredited by Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) of the American Medical Technologists or a formal medical services training program of the United States Armed Forces.
• Certified Medical Assistant Only: Current certification as a medical assistant by the American Association of Medical Assistants or Current registration by the American Medical Technologists or other formal program.
• One year of experience as a Medical Assistant after graduation.
• Must be a US Citizen.
