Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma Teacher Assistant - Special Education - Jones Academy in Hartshorne, Oklahoma
Job Purpose or Objective(s): Assist the classroom teacher with the implementation of the educational program. You will report to the principal.
Payrate: $14.50 per hour | Hourly, Full Time | Schedule and Hours: 7:30am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday with Saturday and Sunday OFF | | WEEKLY EARNED WAGE ACCESS IS AN OPTION FOR THIS POSITION |
Primary Tasks:
You will monitor the safety and behavior of children in the classroom, on the bus, and while on the playground.
Help set up the environment (indoor/outdoor for the activities of the day.
Help with teaching based on children’s individual developmental needs.
Observe and record behaviors of children to assist the teacher in the identification of each child’s strengths and growth areas.
You will attend parent meetings, home visits, and parent/teacher conferences.
Assist children during meals.
Perform other tasks as may be assigned.
Requirements:
High School diploma or GED
Knowledge and ability to work with appropriate software application
Good oral and written correspondence skill
Good childcare and making decisions.
Lead people, be honest.
Must be a team player
