Trinity Health Trauma Registrar - Remote in Hartford, Connecticut

Description:

Position Purpose

At Saint Francis Hospital the Trauma Registrar under the Trauma Program Director and Manager and in collaboration with the Trauma PI Nurse Analyst coordinates medical record review, coding review, data entry and report generation.

What you will do

  • Coordinate medical record review

  • Coordinate coding review

  • Does data entry

  • Report generation functions for the Trauma Registry

  • Interacts with the Trauma Program Manager, Trauma Program Director, Trauma PI Nurse Analyst, Trauma Team and Emergency Department Staff

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education : Associate of Science and/or equivalent experience in related field is required.

  • Experience : 5 or more years of trauma experience is required.

  • Certified Specialist in Trauma Registries (CSTR) : Current certification through the American Trauma Society is preferred.

  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC): Current certification through AAPC is preferred.

  • Ability to pass drug screening and background check
