Trinity Health Speech Language Pathologist, Outpatient in Hartford, Connecticut

Description:

Trinity Health of New England is looking for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to join our mission-driven team in our outpatient rehabilitation department at Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital.

The SLP is responsible for evaluating and treating an adult neurological patient population, including patients with diagnoses of stroke, traumatic brain injury, concussion, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease, brain tumors. Disorders include dysarthria, apraxia, dysphagia, aphasia, cognitive-communication deficits, voice, and fluency disorders.

  • Performs comprehensive evaluations.

  • Establishes functional goals based upon evaluation results targeting deficit areas, to help patients achieve a maximum level of functional independence.

  • Provides professional interaction with patients, family members, interdisciplinary team members, and other staff members and colleagues.,

  • completes all documentation in accordance with professional, organizational, and regulatory compliance standards.

Requirements:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited program with a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)

  • State of Connecticut Speech-Language Pathology Licensure

Work Hours/Shift:

  • Full Time, 40 hours Monday – Friday
