Description:

Trinity Health Of New England is looking for a Primary Therapist, LCSW to join our Behavioral Health Outpatient team.

The Primary Therapist , Social Worker LCSW is a member of the Outpatient team and responsible for providing diagnostic assessment, therapeutic counseling and support services for a diverse caseload of clients, including children/adolescent, adult, and families.

What will you do:

  • Performs assessments, provides support to patients and families and is a patient advocate to assure appropriate cares is received .

  • Provides counseling designed to help individuals work towards their desired mental healthcare outcomes.

  • Establishes relationships with patients and families to set reasonable expectations for their care.

  • Demonstrates problem solving, conflict resolution, and positive communication through teamwork.

Requirements :

  • Education: Master’s degree in a social work field including, Social Work; Marriage and Family Therapy; Psychology; and/or Mental Health Counselor

  • Licensure: CT Licensure at a LCSW, LPC or LMFT level required.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, knowledge of community resources, social work theory and practice.
