Accenture Packaged Application Development Manager in Hartford, Connecticut

Packaged Application Development Manager (Accenture LLP; Hartford, CT): Accenture LLP has multiple openings for the position of Packaged Application Development Manager in Hartford, CT, and the job duties are as follows:

  • Manage project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope.

  • Develop or updates project plans for information technology projects, including project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, schedules, funding, and staffing.

  • Maintain applications according to SLAs.

  • Work across the Service Delivery Lifecycle on engineering solutions for new system rollouts, major/minor enhancements, and/or ongoing maintenance of existing applications.

  • Identify and assesses complex problems that require in-depth evaluation of variable factors, and creates solutions for implementation by the team.

  • Supervise a team to gather and interpret user/system requirements into design specifications.

  • Conduct project and issue management (including status reporting, issue reporting, and ETC/budget reporting) for assigned scope of work, and make decisions that impact the team through regular consultation with senior management.

  • Adhere to strategic direction set by senior management.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Applications, Engineering, or related field, plus 5 years of experience in the IT consulting industry. In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, employer will accept 2 additional years of experience in the IT consulting industry.

Must have 5 years of experience in each of the following:

  • Developing and designing applications using the following: Java, Spring Boot Microservices, RESTful services, XML, JSON, Jenkins, Linux Shell scripting, Python, Go Scripting, and Redis Cache;

  • System integration in a complex ecosystem based on REST APIs and SOAP services;

  • Building and deploying applications using DevOps technologies, including Git, Jenkins, Docker and Ansible;

  • Environment management in AWS, Kubernetes, Rancher, and OpenShift; and

  • Supporting Service Assurance in the Telecommunication industry domain, including device configurations.

Must have 3 years of experience in each of the following:

  • Application performance monitoring and log analysis utilizing production operations tools, including Splunk and New Relic;

  • Container orchestration on a Kubernetes container-based environment;

  • Working on AWS ECS, EC2, Rancher, and OpenShift; and

  • Utilizing cloud technologies, including OpenSearch, Redis Engine, CloudFormation, Cloud Watch, Container Insights, Virtual Private Cloud, Security Group, and Relational Database Service.

Must have willingness and ability to travel domestically approximately 80% of the time to meet client needs.
