DESCRIPTION OF WORK This position is within the Bureau of Veterans' Homes. This bureau administers six long-term care facilities for honorably discharged veterans and their spouses. We provide quality residential care to enhance or maintain our residents health. We are the long-term care provider of choice for Pennsylvania's Veterans.

In this role, you will provide clinical and training consultation to the leadership and staff at three of the bureau's six Veterans' Homes. You will have a direct influence on the quality of care to our resident Veterans and their spouses, by ensuring that clinical staff possess the clinical and resident care competencies required to ensure the health, welfare, and safety of our residents. You will work directly with the Registered Nurse Instructors in your assigned facilities to design, develop, deliver, and manage skill and competency-focused training and education.

The work location will be determined from one of the following, based on the preference of the selected candidate:

Southeastern Veterans' Center (Chester County) One Veterans Drive Spring City, PA 19475

Delaware Valley Veterans' Home (Philadelphia County) 2701 Southampton Road Philadelphia, PA 19154

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week Work hours are 8:15 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 45-minute lunch. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Four years of professional nursing experience, including two years in an administrative, supervisory, consultative, or quality assurance capacity, and a bachelor's degree in nursing, nurse education, healthcare administration, or a closely related field; or An equivalent combination of professional experience and training, which includes two years of professional nursing in an administrative, supervisory, consultative, or quality assurance capacity. Special Requirements: Possession of a current license to practice as a registered nurse issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing; or possession of a non-renewable temporary practice permit issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing. All employees possessing an active nonrenewable temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
